Optimizing Requests for the Smart Data Server
نویسنده
چکیده
The growing complexity of the Web information flow makes it necessary to improve Client/Server communication. In order to efficiently maintain heterogeneous and fast changing data types and different kinds of data sources, a Smart Data Server (SDS) can be used as a general framework for distributed functionality. In this paper, we present three general methods of advanced Client/Server communication: Prediction, Minimization and Request Optimization, implemented and in practical use as modules of the SDS. Even though the overall aim of these features is the improvement of the information flow, the processing is quite different: Prediction aims at making precalculations or pre-fetching of very probable user requests in the future, Minimization leads to a reduction of transferred data while considering system requirements of the client (e.g. display resolution), and Request Optimization is a usage-dependent data request method. We will show that only a skilful combination of these methods can guarantee success in improving network communication.

Nowadays, we face the continually growing importance of information: it is quickly becoming our most valuable resource. The Smart Data Server improves the quality of information by combining different information-resource-pools without unnecessarily burdening the user with details. By questioning the Smart Data Server with functionrequests of installed function-modules, high-level information i...
متن کاملA density based clustering approach to distinguish between web robot and human requests to a web server
Today world's dependence on the Internet and the emerging of Web 2.0 applications is significantly increasing the requirement of web robots crawling the sites to support services and technologies. Regardless of the advantages of robots, they may occupy the bandwidth and reduce the performance of web servers. Despite a variety of researches, there is no accurate method for classifying huge data ...
متن کاملA Novel Method for VANET Improvement using Cloud Computing
In this paper, we present a novel algorithm for VANET using cloud computing. We accomplish processing, routing and traffic control in a centralized and parallel way by adding one or more server to the network. Each car or node is considered a Client, in such a manner that routing, traffic control, getting information from client and data processing and storing are performed by one or more serve...

Despite the wide utilization of cloud computing (e.g., services, applications, and resources), some of the services, applications, and smart devices are not able to fully benefit from this attractive cloud computing paradigm due to the following issues: (1) smart devices might be lacking in their capacity (e.g., processing, memory, storage, battery, and resource allocation), (2) they might be l...
متن کاملThe Internal Workflow of the Smart-Data-Server
Middle -tier architectures have to fulfill many requirements. These requirements are growing with the different versions of the middle-tier architecture. To a llow a flexible extension of the architecture, its design has to be clear and easy so one has not to take care of all the dependencies of the components if a new one is added. In this paper we present the technology of internal workflow p...
